Phinally not Fridge-less!

Spent some quality time at the office today, but didn’t get up in time for breakfast.

I  walked to the store a few blocks away for lunch and grabbed this:

For dinner, I had been soaking an assortment of beans (12 different kinds to be exact) and made a really delicious soup with those, some tomatoes, onion, garlic and a little zinfandel. Best thing about cooking with wine- instant excuse to drink what’s leftover!

As a side note, did you know how many different things you can do when cooking with wine, like add it to cake batter instead of oil?  Here’s an interesting article to get your creative juices flowing:

It was incredibly filling, so I couldn’t eat more than a bowl.

Thankfully, it is PHINALLY not a problem to have leftovers because, ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to announce that I am no longer fridge-less!  Hooray!

Tomorrow will be a very exciting day for me at the grocery store…
